The successful candidate will research potential vendors, analyze costs, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with firm policies while supporting our technology infrastructure needs across all offices.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

Supporting Client Managers in the implementation of strategic business plans for the transactional practices that include both visibility-raising initiatives and targeted business development activities.

Supporting RFP, pitch, and proposal processes from planning through submission.

Working with attorneys, marketing staff, and other firm personnel in the development and execution of proposals and presentations.

Understanding and identifying most applicable content, editing existing content, and drafting new content for proposals and pitches.

Producing initial draft of materials.

Coordinating information and research requests with research analysts, accounting personnel, and other administrative personnel.

Coordination of assembly/production, delivery and recordkeeping of finished product.

Conducting follow-up process to capture results of opportunities.

Internal and external deal reporting, including coordination of the league table submission process and matter collection.

Drafting and execution of transactional practice group submissions to Chambers, The Legal 500, Law360, among others.

Coordinating and assessing opportunities for in-person and virtual conferences, seminars, forums, sponsorships, and speaking engagements; assist with internal and external events as needed, including on-ground support.

Assisting with the maintenance of the firm's experience database (Foundation) as well as practice and industry-specific deal lists.

Leveraging CRM and Experience databases to identify and confirm relationship targets, and relevant experience for business development opportunities.

Overseeing the editing and production of individual practice or industry team newsletters or communications.

Drafting, updating, and maintaining a suite of marketing collateral, including relevant practice group brochures, one-pagers, PowerPoint decks, attorney bios, experience lists, among others, with an eye toward ensuring materials are polished and consistent, including with respect to brand guidelines.

Mentoring junior staff on best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.

Minimum of three (3) years related experience in marketing, business development or client relations role, preferably in a professional services company or firm. Legal marketing experience is preferred.

Knowledge of transactional practices is a plus.

Knowledge of business development processes required; knowledge of proposal process preferred. Ability to work well under pressure essential.

Proficient in a range of computer software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Comfortable using a variety of proprietary marketing databases such as Foundation and InterAction is a plus.

Self-motivated, with strong attention to detail and demonstrated effective project management skills.

Ability to clearly and effectively communicate, in oral and written form, with people at all levels within the firm.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Ability to work in an environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.

Exhibit superior attention to detail and pride in high quality deliverables.

Must have the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
