1.0 FTE Pediatric Emergency Medicine Academic position Brenner Children’s Hospital Emergency Department is North Carolina’s first Level 1 pediatric trauma center 24-bed department 180-bed tertiary care center Full complement of pediatric subspecialty medical and surgical support, with large PICU and NICU Urban and rural patient populations from across Central NC to Western NC Teaching responsibilities with fellows, residents and medical students EPIC EMR Be part of an integrated nationally recognized organization with physician-led medical group and embedded service line Leverage access to DAX Copilot, an AI-powered clinical documentation tool integrated with Epic, streamlining clinical workflows by generating draft patient notes for efficient review, editing, and signature Experience an environment that provides safe and equitable care for all patients Responsibilities
Provide pediatric emergency medicine clinical care as an academic physician Teach and supervise fellows, residents, and medical students Collaborate with a full spectrum of pediatric subspecialists and a large PICU/NICU Contribute to scholarly activities and academic missions within the department Engage with an integrated system and use Epic EMR for patient documentation Training and/or Experience Required
MD/DO; BC/BE in pediatric emergency medicine NC licensure/eligibility Rank at time of hire commensurate with academic and scholarly accomplishments. Benefits
