Your Career Become a member of the Revenue Accounting team at Palo Alto Networks. We are seeking a highly motivated Revenue Operations Manager who is excited to join a high-growth company. The candidate will have strong analytical thinking and communication skills, be self-motivated, and capable of providing solutions for issues identified. The successful candidate is a reliable, accountable, team-oriented individual reporting to the Senior Revenue Manager and working with other Revenue team members. Responsibilities include revenue close accounting activities, leading transitions and projects, developing new processes, and improving the month-end close process in a fast-paced environment.
Your Impact
Manage and coordinate the revenue close related to acquisitions and Marketplace transactions, including review of monthly journal entries and reconciliations, validation of system data, tracking close status, and reporting close metrics
Partner with cross functional business partners to implement standard methodologies, automation, and continuous process improvements
Lead and assist with special projects and ad hoc requests as needed, including integration of newly acquired entities
Leverage comprehensive quote to cash system and process knowledge to timely identify, quantify, and resolve issues
Partner with Corporate FP&A team and assist with forecast
Establish and maintain strong SOX controls
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related discipline, CPA preferred
8+ years of progressive experience in revenue accounting and operations in the technology industry. Big 4 and relevant industry experience preferred
Strong knowledge of Hardware, Software, and SaaS ASC 606 revenue guidance
Experience in revenue accounting for Marketplace and Acquisitions
Experience working with SAP S4/HANA, SAP RAR, NetSuite, and SFDC preferred
Advanced knowledge of Excel and Google Suite
Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and execute in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
Critical thinker with a risk-based mindset and strong problem-solving skills
Motivated self-starter who takes initiative and drives projects to conclusion
Effective communicator with all levels of management and cross-functional organizations
Additional Information Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary is expected to be between $118,000/YR - $191,500/YR, with potential additional compensation such as restricted stock units and a bonus.
