Under the supervision of the Chief Program Officer, the Program Director - Pathway Home is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Pathway Home program, which aims to transition individuals experiencing homelessness into stable housing. The Program Director will manage program operations, oversee the budget, supervise staff, and ensure that all services meet the highest standards of care. The Program Director will also oversee clinical services for First Day’s interim housing programs, ensuring adherence to trauma-informed, harm-reduction, and Housing First principles. This role is responsible for supervising MSW interns and MSWs pursuing licensure, ensuring compliance with Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) supervision requirements, and enhancing service quality for individuals transitioning from homelessness to stable housing. The Program Director will act as a key representative of the Pathway Home Program, forging partnerships with community stakeholders, managing relationships with funders, and ensuring programmatic compliance with contracts and grants. This position requires leadership in guiding a multidisciplinary team, overseeing case management, and maintaining a supportive, harm-reduction-focused environment for clients. Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the Pathway Home program, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and funding requirements. Manage program budgets, oversee expenditures, and ensure financial compliance with grants and contracts. Develop and implement program policies, ensuring effective and efficient service delivery. Lead the expansion and continuous improvement of the Pathway Home program, responding to emerging needs in the community. Provide direct supervision to program staff, volunteers, and interns, including case managers, support specialists, and MSWs. Conduct regular team meetings to ensure the staff is informed of program updates, changes, and best practices. Provide BBS-compliant clinical supervision for MSW interns and MSWs working toward LCSW licensure. Lead weekly case consultation meetings and facilitate professional development for clinical staff. Support staff professional development through training and mentoring opportunities. Facilitate staff performance evaluations and address personnel matters as needed. Implement training programs for case managers on clinical best practices and ethical standards. Provide clinical oversight for mental health and case management services at Pathway Home and additional interim housing sites. Ensure client care aligns with best practices in trauma-informed services and harm reduction. Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to support long-term housing stability. Oversee crisis intervention strategies and staff de-escalation training. Ensure all clients receive high-quality case management and housing navigation services. Maintain a harm-reduction approach, providing trauma-informed and culturally sensitive care. Oversee life skills programming, ensuring clients have access to critical services, including health care, employment assistance, and mental health resources. Track client progress, ensuring the program meets key performance indicators for housing placement and retention. Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, service providers, funders, and government agencies. Collaborate with local healthcare providers, mental health agencies, and SPA 7 partners to expand client resources. Represent the Pathway Home program in community meetings and with local coalitions. Participate in fundraising events, grant writing, and other development efforts to support program sustainability. Engage volunteers and stakeholders to enhance the program's capacity and community impact. Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the program’s facilities, overseeing regular health and safety inspections. Manage crisis situations with clients, including medical emergencies, mental health crises, and conflict resolution. Collaborate with the Facilities Manager and Security personnel to address safety concerns and ensure compliance with local regulations. Ensure program compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Manage data entry and reporting through HMIS and other relevant databases. Prepare regular programmatic reports for funders, detailing outcomes, successes, and challenges. Conduct quarterly program evaluations and use feedback to improve service delivery. Qualifications

Master of Social Work (MSW) REQUIRED LCSW in California, in good standing with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) PREFERRED Minimum 2 years of post-MSW experience, including supervisory experience Strong background in homeless services, mental health, or supportive housing programs Expertise in Housing First, harm reduction, and trauma-informed care Familiarity with Los Angeles County’s Coordinated Entry System (CES) preferred Valid CA Driver’s License and reliable transportation Specific Skills

Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to supervise and mentor staff Proficiency in Microsoft Office, HMIS, and other case management software Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail Seniority level
