What to Expect
As a Software Engineer on Tesla's Digital Product Engineering team, you will be responsible for building information systems to support Tesla's rapid growth while providing a seamless and intuitive customer experience. You will be part of the core service team at Tesla, which owns order management, product catalog, pricing management platform to support sales, finance, and operational teams in every global market.

What You'll Do
Design, develop, and support applications and systems within the team's scope, including vehicle ordering, configuration inventory management and associated sales, incentives, and fees management platform
Lead technical efforts to onboard Tesla products into new international markets, ensuring compliance with regional requirements and seamless integration with existing systems
Design and build AI-powered chatbot solutions to assist users with ordering, payment, and fee-related inquiries, driving self-service adoption and reducing operational support load
Identify, design, and implement enhancements to improve the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of order processing workflows
Monitor production systems, analyze real-time metrics, respond to alerts, and proactively address system performance and availability concerns
Write clean, maintainable, performant, and well-tested code to deliver new features and resolve technical issues
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, Engineering, and Business teams to plan and prioritize feature development
Adapt quickly to evolving business priorities and technical requirements in a fast-paced, agile environment
Work with a modern tech stack including C#, Python, Go, Node.js, React, MySQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, GraphQL, Docker, and Kubernetes
What You'll Bring
Degree in Computer Science, proof of exceptional skills in related field, or equivalent experience
4+ years of related practical experience in software engineering
Experience with microservices or service-oriented architecture
Expertise with databases, including MySQL for structured data management and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch for search, indexing, and analytics
Good unit testing and integration testing practices
Flexible and motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills with a positive attitude and a strong desire to improve efficiency and scalability
Experience writing code in programming languages like C#, Go, Python or JavaScript
Knowledge about JavaScript (ES5/6), HTML, CSS, and the React framework for building intuitive frontend interfaces
Familiarity with AI integration, including LLMs for tasks like generating pricing insights and agentic AI workflows for adaptive user experiences

Expected Compensation $164,480 - $292,800/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
