Role Overview

Sodexo has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Dietitian to join their dynamic team with oversight of the Clinical Nutrition program at North Hawaii Community Hospital in Waimea, HI. This is a 35-bed rural acute care community hospital. The North Hawaii Community Hospital is part of the Queen’s Health System and offers numerous specialty areas, including Queen’s West (licensed for 104 beds) and Queen’s Medical Center (licensed for 565 beds). Sodexo offers: Start with 3 weeks’ vacation and 3 personal days. Reimbursement for AND dues, state licensure fees, and CDR renewal. Money toward continuing education units. Up to $5,000 tuition reimbursement annually. Free employee on-site parking. Free meals while on duty. What You'll Do

Provide inpatient care to patients with a variety of disease states

Guide patient services as well, and a small team of frontline employees

Assist the team to foster successful patient care programs

Work well independently and as part of the clinical team

What You Bring

A Registered Dietitian Credential or RD eligible for certification and MS degree

Eligible for a Hawaii license as a Registered Dietitian; client insurance credentialing is required

Servesafe certification is required within 90 days

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Good time management skills, self-starter and team player

The ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff

Qualifications & Requirements Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Credentials Requirement: Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire. Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire.
