Kidney Medical Associates, one of the largest independently owned nephrology groups in New York, is seeking full-time nephrologists to join our team. These physicians will be involved in the management of chronic dialysis patients (Hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, and Home Hemodialysis), hospital consultations, and office-based nephrology. Additionally, there are opportunities for dialysis facility medical directorships.

Position Requirements

Candidates must have an MD, DO or equivalent degree.

Candidates must be board-certified or board eligible in Nephrology.

Candidates must have or be eligible for a New York medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of New York.

Desire for a rich clinical experience derived from a tremendous variety in pathology.

Passion for providing high quality clinical patient care.

Opportunities to participate in multidisciplinary conferences, quality initiatives, medical practice business management, and CMS Comprehensive Kidney Care Contracting (CKCC) program.

Candidates will exhibit proficiency in all aspects of nephrology practice including inpatient consultations, management and rounding on both hospitalized and non-hospitalized patients on dialysis, and office-based nephrology practice.

Competitive compensation / salary commensurate directly with years of experience.

Excellent work-life balance with reasonable daily workload, one in four weekend coverage, 2-3 weeknights coverage/month, ability to manage off-hour clinical issues at home by telephone and with remote access to hospital and practice EMR’s (Epic), and single hospital in-patient service at The Albert Einstein University Hospital of Montefiore Medical Center.

About Kidney Medical Associates Formed in 2016 by the merging of multiple independent nephrology practices, KMA currently employs 9 nephrologists. We are currently medical directors of 9 free standing hemodialysis clinics and 1 free standing home dialysis clinic. We collectively manage nearly 1000 ESRD patients who are treated with ICHD, PD, and HHD. KMA physicians manage a large population of outpatients who suffer from the full spectrum of renal pathology and hypertension. Outpatients are seen at our office located within The Albert Einstein University Hospital of Montefiore Medical Center complex. We have hospital privileges at several Montefiore Medical Center affiliated hospitals but only see patients at Albert Einstein Hospital, a 431 bed teaching hospital adjacent to the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Morris Park Section of The Bronx.
