This Director, Divisional FP&A will support an operating division. Responsibilities
Establish strategic goals and direction for a finance team responsible for providing all aspects of finance support. Provide timely feedback, direction, coaching, and development opportunities. Set long-term budgeting strategy as the primary financial partner to divisional leadership (e.g., MDs and VPs), performing monthly close, forecasting, and ad hoc analyses to inform operational and strategic decisions for the division. Lead budgeting strategy and planning process with division leadership, linking budget plans to key financial and operational metrics. Ensure timely and accurate monthly closing, forecasting and reporting processes. Review monthly financial and metric performance with division leadership to identify variances, trends, and potential issues that may materially impact performance. Analyze variances and underlying drivers to support root cause analysis and drive improvements in cost trajectory. Drive continuous improvements in the annual budget process and ensure timely loading of budget data. Manage investments through ownership of the business case process and capital management. Provide consultation to key stakeholders by leveraging financial expertise, conducting ad hoc analysis, and promoting financial literacy within the company. Develop and maintain financial models for key activities such as multi-year modeling, productivity, regional allocation and what-if scenarios, leveraging TM1 where possible. Stay informed on industry trends and competitive performance to generate ideas and drive improvements in performance. Develop people through performance management, feedback, and succession planning across teams. Shape a culture of accountability and collaboration within the team. Required
8 years of direct financial planning and analysis experience. 5 years of leadership experience, with at least 2 years directly leading people. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or economics, or an equivalent combination of training/experience. Strong working knowledge of financial tools (NPV, ROIC, cash flow, activity-based costing) and handling large data sets. Proven ability to partner with the business and provide actionable financial guidance. Experience leading cross-functional teams and mentoring others. Self-starter, able to navigate ambiguity, analyze complex data, and present concise recommendations. Ability to conduct tough conversations to drive the right business decisions while maintaining positive relationships. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access). Minimum age 18 and legal authorization to work in the U.S. Preferred
Master’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, math, or statistics; CPA and/or CFA qualifications. 5 years of experience in the airline industry or related field. Experience with PeopleSoft, Cognos TM1, Brio, Tableau, or related tools. Job-Specific Leadership Expectations

The pay range and total target compensation listed above are the expected pay offered at start of employment. Pay is based on location, experience, and skillset, while balancing internal equity.
