The Lanes Data Product Manager is part of the Core Navigation and Address Product Data team, which delivers data products that power search, navigation, and orientation use cases across Geo and Google. You'll be focused on extending the network to include detailed lane data, enabling use cases such as lane-aware navigation in GMM and lane keep assist for Auto OEMs. Success for this role involves working with engineering, operations, and client experience teams to design the systems needed to enable lane-aware features. You will be responsible for synthesizing an understanding of the market for geospatial data, Google's technological capabilities, and the needs of multiple stakeholders into a coherent roadmap to drive impact over the short and long term.

The Geo team is focused on building the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for our users, through products like Maps, Earth, Street View, Google Maps Platform, and more. Every month, more than a billion people rely on Maps services to explore the world and navigate their daily lives.

The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. As they plot a course for the future of mapping, they are solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and improving our understanding of the real world.

Responsibilities

Partner with engineering and operations to deliver scalable systems powered by AI and Operations that bring detailed lane and intersection data to use cases across Consumer and Auto surfaces.

Establish quality standards for lanes data products, ensuring the team can continue to meet user needs as the world changes.

Explore and integrate new data sources, such as vehicle sensor observations, driving telemetry, user reports, and imagery.

Prioritize and build new features that increase the level of detail of our lanes offering.

Conduct market research on both consumer and Auto offerings to influence the data roadmap.

Compensation and Benefits The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
