Business Development Director Opportunity

at Emerald Coast Behavioral Hospital provides inpatient treatment services to adolescents and adults at our 86-bed facility in Panama City, FL and outpatient services at three outpatient centers throughout the Florida Panhandle. We are an acute stabilization facility serving a diverse population with diagnoses including depression, personality disorders, chemical dependency, PTSD, schizophrenia and detoxification from opiates, benzodiazepines and alcohol. Business Development Director

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and continuously refine the facility’s business development plans to achieve the desired utilization of the continuum of care.

Implement and develop specialty programs and referral development; organize and administer contract services to provide high-quality patient care.

Assist in establishing Standards of Practice, ensure compliance with standards and regulations, and provide financial management.

Builds and leads a team to implement the business development plan and exceed admission targets by cultivating productive, long-term referral relationships with existing and new referral sources.

Act as facility liaison with referral sources and providers. Promote ECBH programs, address concerns, leverage staff to enhance community relations, and maintain a contacts database aligned with company goals.

Develop marketing materials that align with Joint Commission, CMS, Baker Act, and Starks Laws guidelines.

Develop and implement monthly, seasonal, and annual strategies and evaluate results; create a personal marketing plan.

Represent the hospital at meetings, community task forces, and events; identify and present to groups in designated territory.

Manage all Managed Care contracting and maintain working relationships with Admissions, Clinical Services, Program Directors, and clinical staff to stay informed about current programs.

Plan, organize, develop, and implement internal and community educational programs.

Daily travel required; act as Administrator on Call on a rotation basis.

Qualifications Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required; Master’s Degree preferred.

Three (3) years of experience in health care, business development, or marketing with measurable results; three (3) years of management/supervisory experience strongly preferred.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and service-excellence skills. Detail-oriented, able to multi-task and adapt quickly. Present a positive and professional appearance and conduct.

Active driver’s license with a driving record that meets Facility and Corporate Risk requirements.
