You will lead the design, development, and governance of enterprise data infrastructure to transform raw data into trusted, actionable insights that support real-time decision-making and compliance. Base pay range:

$55.00/hr - $70.00/hr

(actual pay based on skills and experience). The contract is 4-6 months with the possibility of extension. Responsibilities

Architect and maintain secure, scalable data infrastructure for aerospace operations within a Microsoft GCC High environment. Design, build, and optimize data pipelines using SSIS and Azure Data Factory to support analytics and operational workflows. Develop and manage self-service data platforms, enabling business users to access curated, governed data with minimal IT dependency. Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to align data architecture with business needs. Build performant, enterprise-ready Power BI datasets, models, and dashboards for both real-time and historical analytics. Evaluate and implement tools such as Microsoft Purview for data cataloging, lineage, and compliance oversight. Create and maintain architectural documentation, technical standards, and best practices for the data team. Required Qualifications

7+ years of experience in Data Architecture roles, with a focus on Microsoft ecosystems in secure environments like GCC High. Expertise in Power BI (data modeling, DAX, dataflows, governance). Hands-on experience building data pipelines with SSIS and Azure Data Factory. Strong understanding of data governance, MDM, and metadata management strategies. Familiarity with aerospace data domains (e.g., supply chain, engineering design, inventory, quality). Strong SQL development and performance tuning skills. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Microsoft Purview for data classification, lineage, and cataloging. Understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks: ITAR, DFARS, NIST 800-53, CMMC. Familiarity with modern data architectures (lakehouse, medallion architecture, event-driven pipelines). Experience integrating Power BI with Azure Synapse, SQL Server, and data lakes.
