CJ Logistics America is responsible for the North American region, specializing in solutions for regulated industries such as food and beverage, consumer-packaged goods, healthcare and medical supplies, and tire and automotive. About the Role Reporting to the CEO, the SVP, Human Resources will serve as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, overseeing the North America Human Resources function. Our SVP, HR will build a team focused on meeting the business\'s strategic needs while fostering a People-first culture. This role acts as a trusted, strategic, senior-level advisor on people experience, employee relations, organizational design, talent management, people development, and other human resources matters to the North America leadership team as well as other executives based in North America and all employees throughout our North American operations. This hands-on senior leader will be a passionate and driven leader, focused on the alignment of human capital to the company\'s business growth and results. This position will provide strategic, consultative direction and operational leadership for the business, articulating the needs and plans for Human Resources programs and initiatives in North America. This role will also work closely with HQ HR on various initiatives. What You’ll Do This leader informs and influences business strategy by leading change management, organizational design, performance management, employee engagement, succession planning, internal communications and culture initiatives. Evolve our organization from operational HR to a people centric function with a People Strategy that shapes how CJ Logistics engages with our employees both now and into the future. Set the standard for growing and developing our employees. Define a competitive recruitment strategy that supports the commercial and operational opportunities and challenges of having a geographically dispersed field team. HR & Business Strategy Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team by leveraging talent and HR strategies. Advise on matters of organizational structure and business operations. Lead change management initiatives and act proactively in times of change. Translate data into insights with excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills. Establish an equitable and competitive total compensation philosophy that motivates employees and drives business performance. Advance the HR team’s capability, providing mentoring and coaching of HR team members. In collaboration with Legal, implement and maintain legally compliant policies and programs. You enjoy coaching both the other Executive team members and their functional teams. Data-Informed Decisions: Ability to balance data-driven insights with intuitive decision-making in imperfect situations. Effective Communication: Strong communicator who can engage effectively one-on-one, in small groups, and across the organization. Requirements Experience: 15+ years of HR experience, with a proven track record of leading and scaling geographically dispersed HRBP teams in dynamic environments. Global Supply Chain and Logistics experience preferred. Bilingual in English and Korean is a plus. Location This role is based in our Corporate Headquarters in Des Plaines, IL. As we prioritize connection and the opportunity to build relationships with our customers and each other we have an in-office culture, with flexibility as needed. Given the nature of this role and our dispersed field operations, we anticipate travel up to 25%. Preference given to local candidates. We anticipate this role to pay a minimum base salary of $250,000 but actual base pay will depend on the successful candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. This role is also eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan and LTIP.
