Assist in the design and preparation of plans for site development projects, including grading, drainage, utilities, and erosion control. Develop and evaluate design alternatives based on site constraints, client needs, and regulatory requirements. Prepare project specifications, cost estimates, and design documentation using tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Hydraflow Hydrographs, and MS Office Suite. Analyze horizontal and vertical alignments, typical sections, and right-of-way requirements to ensure project feasibility and efficiency. Prepare written technical reports and engineering studies using approved company formats. Direct and review the work of engineering technicians to ensure accuracy and quality. Collaborate with project managers, internal teams, and external stakeholders to support permitting and compliance efforts. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification 1-2 years of experience in civil site, commercial, residential design, or public works Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office Suite Familiarity with land development processes and engineering standards Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Reliability and dependability Ability to work Monday–Friday, 8 am – 5 pm with overtime as needed EEO Statement
