The position of Diagnostic National Reference Lab Director is within BD’s Diagnostic Solutions Business Unit. The Diagnostics Solutions (DS) business empowers laboratories, healthcare professionals and patients across developed and emerging markets to make decisions that drive clinical outcomes and reduce risk. DS delivers diagnostics tests, instrumentation, automation, and informatics that enable accurate and timely diagnosis of bacterial, fungal, viral, and parasitic infections. The role reports directly to the DS National Accounts VP. Responsibilities

Own end-to-end deal process for large, complex deals across Reference Laboratories. Achieve and grow total revenue and market position consistent with company goals. Under VP leadership, formulate a comprehensive business plan proposal and integrated approach to realizing short and longer-term customer opportunities for growth, including sales strategies, platform/product application to customer portfolio, market and competitive position, and pricing strategies. Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of competition to anticipate their impact on the market and customer accounts and build proactive risk responses. Lead cross-functional efforts across internal functions such as Research and Development, Quality and Supply Chain to deliver on the global reference lab strategy and customer needs. Proactively manage risk to financial and growth targets and commitments. Customer Relationship Management

Develop strong customer relationships, aiming for high loyalty and sustainable value. Identify customer needs and integrated solutions that provide value and growth opportunities. Establish effective processes for joint operational and project planning, decision making and communications. Maintain high levels of customer responsiveness and effective issue resolution. Establish joint performance indicators for measuring collaboration ROI. Build productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned accounts and manage customer KPIs to strengthen BD’s position. Customer Program Management

Ensure a globally coordinated, fully integrated cross-functional approach to meeting customer needs with proactive risk management and timely conflict resolution. Set and manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment regarding delivery on commitments. Represent customer needs in defining DS business and platform strategies and escalate conflicts to the Executive Team as necessary. Lead quarterly business reviews and form cross-functional teams to meet customer needs. Maintain an account plan with quarterly reviews and manage information flow within BD. Team Leadership

Collaborate with the DS strategic accounts team to execute the global account strategy. Provide visionary leadership to drive cross-functional portfolio planning with supply chain, R&D and quality to achieve global objectives. Position Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of progressive account management, including management of key strategic accounts and C-level relationships. Understanding of Healthcare and Life Sciences industry trends and global challenges. Proven success in managing P&L and revenue growth; strong strategic thinking and implementation skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with customers; understanding of the Diagnostics Solutions customer buying journey. Experience leading cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration across organizational boundaries; customer-focused with strong problem-solving. Bachelor degree or higher; ability to travel up to 50%. Why Join Us

The base salary for this role ranges from $147,600 to $265,800 annually, plus incentives. Location and other factors may influence final compensation. Additional Information
