Overview
The Group Sales Manager will oversee group sales for a designated market at Hyatt Regency McCormick Place. This person is a fully competent individual who has experience in the sales process and function of a hotel. Responsibilities include selling guest rooms, meeting space and other Hyatt services to customer groups, managing accounts, and conducting site inspections, soliciting and generating business. Duties also include preparing and presenting effective proposals, maintaining well organized documentation and reports, utilizing Hyatt systems and coordinating customer service requirements as appropriate. The Group Sales Manager will also participate and may lead sales and other staff meetings. This person will also works as a team member with the sales and catering staff and in close contact with assigned Sales Coordinator and other support staff. Responsibilities
Sell guest rooms, meeting space and other Hyatt services to customer groups Manage accounts and conduct site inspections Solicit and generate business; prepare and present proposals Maintain organized documentation and reports; utilize Hyatt systems Coordinate customer service requirements as appropriate Participate in and may lead sales and staff meetings; collaborate with sales, catering, and support staff Salary
Salary range for this position is $64,100 - $80,100. Actual pay will be commensurate with experience. This is a Hybrid position (three days in the office a week unless business requires more). Benefits

5+ years of hotel sales experience (minimum) 3+ years of Convention hotel experience preferred Experience in Corporate, SMERF, and Association Markets A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment Refined verbal and written communication skills are required A minimum of 1-3 years of hotel sales or comparable experience is required Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, and programs Prefer completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training Prefer selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills trai ning
