Role highlights The Surgical Tech Endoscopy role at Mass General Hospital plays an important role in the operating room and is responsible for the preparation and maintenance of the operating room environment, and assists with the peri-operative care of patients. The environment is fast-paced, energetic, collaborative, and innovative. Fourteen procedure rooms, two scope processing areas and one motility room. This role is an assistive role in providing patient care and other duties related to the preparation and maintenance of the GI Endoscopy suite environment.
Shift information
40 hours (4 10s), Monday through Friday 7am to 5:30pm or 7:30am-6pm
One weekend shift every 6 weeks
One holiday every 12 months
On call Sunday and Holiday requirement is 8am-8pm. No overnight call.
Job Summary Sign-On Bonus:

Qualifications Education and Experience requirements
High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program. (*see substitution below)
Current Surgical Technologist Certification is required within one year from the date of graduation from a surgical technologist program or have been employed as a surgical technologist in a surgical facility on or before July 1st, 2013 or have completed a military or U.S. Public Health Service training program in surgical technology. Graduates who have not obtained their certification will have one year from graduation to obtain certification.
Preferred experience: 1 year experience as Surgical Technologist in an Operating Room or Ambulatory Surgery
