$84,468.80/yr - $167,523.20/yr Responsibilities

Performance of clinical and research procedures in CT imaging. Work with Nuclear Medicine Technologists to perform PET/CT exams. Operate imaging equipment safely and efficiently; adjust scan sequences to enhance image quality when needed. Orient new technologists to pediatric imaging protocols. Maintain department and hospital communications and respond to operational updates. Quality Control

Verify exam requests and patient information. Ensure correct patient data on images and accurate exam charges and RIS entries. Follow procedures for equipment warm-up, phantom scanning, and shutdown; ensure exams are available on PACS. Track scanner data to meet American College of Radiology (ACR) requirements. Patient Care

Maintain scanner and exam room cleanliness and stock supplies needed for efficient exams. Greet patients and families professionally; explain procedures clearly and obtain cooperation for timely exams. Aim to meet scheduled appointment times and handle stat/add-on requests; provide follow-up information as needed. Share on-call responsibilities with CT Technologists. Clinical Safety

Adhere to OSHA regulations and patient safety guidelines; conduct Time Outs before procedures. Assess pregnancy status for female adolescents when relevant. Report equipment malfunctions promptly and complete mandatory reviews. Daily Operations

Identify opportunities to perform exams and coordinate patient throughput for timely service. Communicate effectively during handoffs and with faculty/colleagues. Escalate personnel issues to management to ensure safety and staffing. Qualifications

1 year of clinical CT imaging experience in a hospital or outpatient setting (Required) Registered Radiography Technologist (ARRT) (Required); R.T. (R) (CT) ARRRT certification; Cross-trained staff must attain Post-Primary certification within 1 year (Required) Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and imaging protocols Ability to troubleshoot and recognize equipment malfunctions
