Overview
Under the direction of technical supervisor, the ARRT certified, California-licensed technologist performs radiologic procedures in assigned areas at a safe and technical level not requiring constant supervision. Tech will perform imaging procedures on emergent, inpatient and outpatient age-specific populations. Diagnostic procedures include, but are not limited to, basic radiographic exams using fixed and portable imaging equipment in settings such as Outpatient/Inpatient, OR/Hybrid, ER, fluoroscopy and Endoscopy. Performs various radiographic exams and processes images on archival systems. Professionally accountable for submitting high-quality images to PACS. Participates in performance improvement activities in the department. Demonstrates excellent customer service to patients. Correctly identifies patients for the procedures performed and their respective images. Follows Infection Control policies, radiation policies and good body mechanics. Maintains appropriate continuing education credits. Complies with all Medical Center and Department policies and procedures. Requires ARRT, CRT and California fluoroscopy license. Responsibilities

Conduct basic radiographic exams using fixed and portable imaging equipment in settings such as Outpatient/Inpatient, OR/Hybrid, ER, fluoroscopy and Endoscopy. Process radiographic images on various archival systems; ensure high-quality images are submitted to PACS. Engage in department performance improvement activities and provide excellent customer service to patients. Identify patients correctly for procedures and associated images; adhere to Infection Control and radiation safety policies and good body mechanics. Maintain continuing education credits and comply with Medical Center and Department policies and procedures. Maintain required licenses: ARRT, CRT and California fluoroscopy license. New hires must not perform radiology procedures until licensed (CRT) by the State of California; may begin orientation, observe procedures and assist for up to 6 months. Must obtain California fluoroscopy license within the first 6 months of employment or probationary period. Department needs may require weekday, weekend or holiday call. Per diem employees must work an average of at least four shifts per month to maintain competencies and eligibility. Benefits
