RN Level II Urology – Allouez, Green Bay, Wisconsin. Full-time position at 36 hours per week.
Job Summary The Registered Nurse II at Prevea plays a crucial role as an integral member of our clinic team, delivering patient-centered care. They provide patient care, educate patients and their families, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible care. The Registered Nurse II delivers direct patient care by identifying patient care needs through a range of nursing assessments, procedures, and medication administration. Additionally, the Registered Nurse II may provide phone advice or triage services as needed. The RN II is accountable for delivering exceptional and safe care within the scope of practice as defined by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing and Prevea''s policy. Through collaborative practice with members of the Prevea team, they are responsible for patient outcomes that meet the high quality of care provided by Prevea.
What you will do
Provides direct patient care which includes rooming patients, obtaining medical information, performing comprehensive initial patient assessment and reassessment pertinent to specialty area of practice, administering medications and monitoring for reactions or side effects, and maintaining patient charts/records.
Follow nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Communicates information with patients, physicians, advanced practice providers and staff to ensure quality and continuity of care.
Assists the physician or advanced practice provider with procedures, notes their instructions/orders and makes necessary arrangements to ensure that they are carried out.
Communicates relevant clinical information to the care team, physicians, and/or advanced practice providers to optimize patient outcomes. Triages patient, family, external provider, or affiliate staff''s concerns/inquiries.
Manages patient/family health concerns through telephone triage. Actively seeks information to understand patient circumstances, problems, expectations, and needs.
Facilitates caller''s access to appropriate level of care by assessing needs and offering clinical options using medical judgement within scope of licensure. May also refer to health care providers, services, and community resources.
Education Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited and approved Nursing program Required
Bachelor''s Degree in Nursing Preferred
Skills and Abilities
Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public
Excellent interpersonal skills and behaviors
Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment
Competent in patient education/teaching
Ability to assist providers with exams, tests & treatments
Strong patient assessment skills in person and on the phone in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Ability to administer immunizations and medications
Specialty skills as needed per department. Examples include IV starts, care/case management and pacemaker management.
Licenses and Certifications
Current and valid Registered Nurse license with the state of Wisconsin. Upon Hire Required
CPR certification - Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification. Upon Hire Required
