NaphCare is partnering with Everhealth to hire a
Medical Director
to join our team of medical professionals in the
Washington County Jail
in
Hillsboro, Oregon . This is a Part Time 16 hours per week position. Pay rates range from $117.00 - $123.50 per hour
based on license, certification, shift, site needs, licensure, and experience. As a
Correctional Medical Director , you will be responsible for ensuring all clinical needs are being met within the facility, while working alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals. Responsibilities
Conducting rounds in the medical and infirmary units Performing sick call visits and managing chronic care Responding to and initiating care for medical emergencies Leading efforts to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of healthcare services Coordinating, leading and participating in educational and training activities May supervise staff physicians and other medical staff Ensuring compliance with state and federal mandates and regulations, including court mandates and standards Collaborating with other medical professionals to ensure staff are responsive to patients’ needs Qualifications
Medical degree (MD or DO) Valid license as a physician in the state where the facility is located Active BLS/CPR Certification (AHA preferred) Current DEA registration Board certification recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Experience in general medicine with knowledge of current medical principles and practices; ability to manage and direct a medical team Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards Able to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information Display integrity, professionalism and adherence to a Code of Conduct and facility correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements Must pass the facility’s criminal background check and drug screening Physical Capabilities
Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk long distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, while maintaining balance and endurance throughout a shift. Why Join NaphCare?
