Job Overview
The Vice President of MarWest Commercial will lead efforts to secure new association management contracts across multiple states. Responsibilities include partnering with the President to manage an annual business plan to drive year-over-year EBITDA growth and overseeing association managers. The Vice President will collaborate with various departments, including Property Management, IT, HR, Legal, and Client Accounting, to ensure effective business management and support. This role reports to the President of MarWest. Compensation
$135-145k FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client\'s property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client\'s directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The Vice President of MarWest Commercial : Help create accountability throughout our organization, particularly within management teams to ensure company standards are met along with client’s needs. Will partner in leading expansion efforts of sourcing new association management contracts across the United States. Will have direct responsibility of managing relationships with key clients Will work to align operations with the annual business plan with the intent of growing EBITDA year-over-year in partnership with the senior leadership team including any other Vice Presidents and the President. Will manage Association / Property Manager team members including overseeing key interactions with Board of Directors and Property Owners they serve. Will work cross-functionally with MarWest Commercial and FirstService departments such as IT, HR, Legal and client accounting to ensure the business is appropriately managed / supported. Will work with the MarWest team to verify property-level financial reporting is accurate and timely. Will be a strategic leader and partner with the executive team in order to create an environment where our clients, associates and organization prosper. People Development
Supervise a team of management professionals to develop them into strong brand ambassadors Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Continuously monitor and understand staff performance. Support recruiting, hiring, and performance management activities. Assist with onboarding and conducting ongoing trainings with associates on best practices and day-to-day association management functions. Align resource planning with growth needs, ensuring margins are maintained for new business and succession. Assess staff strengths and weaknesses, adjust roles and training to optimize performance and retention. Evaluate and enhance processes as needed. Ensure compliance with policies, wage, and hour laws; oversee and approve payroll processes. Skills & Qualifications
Excellent organizational and time management skills. Collaborative and effective in working with co-workers and clients. Strong oral presentation and written communication skills. Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, demonstrating persuasiveness, patience, and active listening. Capable of working well under pressure and meeting deadlines. Strategic thinker with strong prioritization, judgment, and decision-making abilities. Creative, proactive, and self-motivated. Skilled in identifying, managing, and mitigating risks. Track record of delivering business development results in a related field. Education & Experience
Ten or more years of commercial association management experience Proven track record of strategic leadership Strong client retention history Physical Requirements & Working Environment
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Travel will be required as needed to ensure associations overseen across the United States are in good condition and team is appropriately engaged. This includes local and periodic overnight travel. Supervisory Responsibilities
