Activities include credentialing, privileging, quality improvement activities, organization governance, etc. This role may not be responsible for providing all services needed (the quality management department is usually responsible for supporting quality improvement activities, peer review, etc.), but it does ensure all necessary activities are supported and coordinated with key medical staff leaders. The DMSS provides leadership, management, and operational oversight of medical staff organization (MSO) support services. The DMSS works collaboratively with the president of the MSO, the medical executive committee (MEC), and additional medical staff leaders (appointed, elected, volunteer, and paid, such as department chairs, committee chairs, etc.) to plan, organize, direct, and coordinate the programs and activities of the MSO to ensure that the strategies of the MSO are supported and attained goals and plans are realized, and there is adherence to the requirements of regulatory and accreditation bodies that are relevant to the organized medical staff. The value you\'ll bring to the team :

In conjunction with CMO, will develop and facilitate medical staff orientation to include coordination of Cemer and facility resources to meet needs of medical staff. Communicates and serves as liaison between hospital administration and medical staff, 24 / 7. Oversees continual development of medical staff library; enhancing medical staff resources and education. Requests for research by the medical staff are responded to in timely and accurate manner. Supports CMO with special projects as needed. Oversight of MSO. In conjunction with MSO and MSO Manager will continue development of : MSO policies and procedures; assisting with new provider credentialing, recredentialing, and onboarding processes. The expertise and experiences you\'ll need to succeed :

Minimum qualifications : Bachelor\'s Degree 3 years medical staff experience 1 year of experience of significant management experience in service provider environment 1 year of experience in contract / physician onboarding, credentialing, and service delivery Must have knowledge of TJC and state regulations Preferred qualifications : Master\'s Degree Certified Professional Medical Staff Management (CPMSM) Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state, and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations, and ordinances.
