Psychiatrist
to join our cohesive multidisciplinary team at a well-established 200+ bed acute care community hospital with an 18 bed inpatient adult unit, and outpatient services including PHP / IOP, in
Norwich, CT
. Norwich is ideally located close to the picturesque Connecticut and Rhode Island Shoreline, and Mystic Seaport. Some highlights of this opportunity include:
Leadership and colleagues focused on the development and maturation of early career psychiatrists.
The Adult Psychiatrist practices in an inpatient setting on the Hospital campus, working with a team including another psychiatrist and psychiatric APRN. The role involves providing care for behavioral health or substance use patients, psychiatric consultations for admitted patients, and ER consultations if needed.
After-hours weekday call is shared with 4 other psychiatrists and is paid separately. Weekend call is optional and also paid separately.
Opportunities to supervise medical students, residents, and non-physician health professionals.
Additional Opportunities: Participation in system Annual Improvement Projects (AIP), including initiatives on Early Psychosis Treatments, Zero Opioid Death, and Behavior Dyscontrol. Ongoing projects also include the Zero Suicide Project and Colleague Wellness Initiative. The role encourages pursuit of personal projects.
