Overview
Senior Software Engineer for hybrid IT role with my client's offices based in Southampton. The client is looking to recruit a Senior Software Engineer with excellent .NET C# developer skills. The Technology function is responsible for the delivery of business and technology change including the provision of robust infrastructure and IT service operations. The Technology function brings technology enabled innovation to market by developing relevant, integrated and optimised solutions that are scalable, commercially viable and deliver long-term value aligned to the business strategy. Working as a strategic partner to the business, the aim of the department is to build informed and robust future-orientated technology and skills capabilities that create the right environment. My client is looking for: Responsibilities
Take business requirements and design, implement and produce high quality end to end products. Collaborate with other team members to produce high-quality software solutions, following established development practices. Design, develop and maintain RESTful APIs. Designing and integrating with React, Next.js and Ionic applications. Develop resilient services to provide API services to front end systems. Deliver solutions via disciplined and controlled methods (CI/CD) through all environments to live. Deliver solutions using Azure DevOps pipelines and related support services. Work in a Scrum/agile environment. Develop reusable and testable microservices. Design and build (secure) databases using Microsoft SQL Server. Qualifications and Technical Skills
Technical expertise in Microsoft .NET and .NET Core. Technical expertise in developing RESTful backend services. Experience with unit testing tooling and code decoupling patterns. Experience with Single Page Applications: React, Next.js. Experience integrating with front-end frameworks (React, Next.js, Ionic). Knowledge of secure database design and build (Microsoft SQL Server). Additional Information
This role is hybrid and candidates need to be able to work at the Southampton-based Head Office 2 days a week. Please bear this in mind when applying.
