Overview Indiana University Health, the largest and most comprehensive healthcare system in Indiana, is seeking a

Hospitalist

for float position to include primarily IU Health Hospitals in the Indianapolis Northern suburb region including IU North, IU Saxony and IU West. The successful candidate will practice in a team-oriented, supportive, and collaborative environment. We are seeking physicians looking for a 1-2 year transition to fellowship specialty and/or experienced hospitalist with desire for new environments. This position offers all the benefits and excitement of travel with the advantage of being local and close to family/friends without significant time away from home.

The position is dually employed by IU Health Physicians and IU School of Medicine with a comprehensive benefit package.

Position Details

Schedule options include: 7 on/7 off (7a-7p) or traditional schedule of M-F, no weekends, no holidays and 30 days PTO

Primarily locations at IU North in Carmel, IU Saxony in Fishers, and IU West in Avon.

Key responsibilities include: Admit to inpatient or appropriate level of care; perform or supervise the performance of patient care services to include history and physical examination, diagnosis, daily patient evaluation, daily progress notes, discharge evaluation, discharge summary, manage transfer calls from outside hospitals and referrals and medically manage for treatment of adolescent and adult patients.

Support hospitalist APPs as needed for questions and unstable patients.

No procedures are required, open and closed ICU depending on the hospital

Faculty position working with and teaching students and Internal Medicine residents

Medical co-management with multiple surgical services including PVS, CVS, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Urology, etc.

Qualifications

Residency training in Internal Medicine

Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine

Physician licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical licensure in Indiana

H1b, J1 visa: eligible
