Emergency Department (ED) with 43 beds 55,000 ER visits per year 2.0 patients per hour (pph) 55 hours physician coverage 20 hours of Advanced Practice Provider coverage EMR: Meditech, Pdoc, and Dragon dictation Approximately 15% pediatric patients Admission rate approximately 25% Comprehensive stroke faculty with new biplane; interventional cardiac catheterization facility No floor code or consult responsibilities 24 hour in-house hospitalists and 24 hour in-house intensivists Newly Accredited EM Residency; opportunities with PA students, medical students, and podiatry residents Occurrence Based Malpractice Independent Contractor (1099) Responsibilities (examples)
Provide acute emergency care within the ED for a diverse patient population Collaborate with ED staff, hospitalists, and intensivists for patient management Participate in educational activities with residents and students Utilize ED resources and capabilities (stroke care, interventional procedures) as available Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) About the Center
