Key Account Director - Northern Plains
role at Madrigal Pharmaceuticals. Madrigal is a biopharmaceutical company focused on delivering novel therapies for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). Rezdiffra (resmetirom) is a once-daily, oral, liver-directed THR-β agonist designed to target key underlying causes of MASH. Rezdiffra is the first and only medication approved by both the FDA and European Commission for the treatment of MASH with moderate to advanced fibrosis (F2 to F3). An ongoing Phase 3 outcomes trial is evaluating Rezdiffra for the treatment of compensated MASH cirrhosis (F4c). Responsibilities
Represent Madrigal with Integrated Delivery Systems and large HCP Super Groups, engaging with C-suite executives, pharmacy directors, and medical directors within the assigned accounts. Articulate compelling unbranded and branded messaging within PI labeling including Brand Value Propositions, brand clinical information (approved reprints) and approved Health Economic Data and Models. Drive customer engagement by providing deep insights and expertise around the MAFLD/MASH disease continuum, offering customer insights on trends, market conditions, protocol development, and formulary/medical policy changes. Leverage and champion core key account resources and sales planning tools to optimize sales performance. Encourage and facilitate interactions with MML/HEOR/Marketing teams, fostering consultation and collaboration with stakeholders to develop patient-centric solutions and relationship-building with peers. Collaborate with functional matrix team leaders to optimize business performance and manage complex business risks and issues. Develop and execute Key Account matrix business plans in cooperation with cross-functional leaders (Sales, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Market Access & Patient Support). Ensure all activities are conducted in strict compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. The position reports to the Executive Director, Health Systems. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required. Proven track record of 12 or more years of successful account management in biotech or pharmaceutical industries. Extensive customer relationships with key account RX and Medical Directors. Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed quantitative and qualitative targets. Ability to travel 60-80%. Strong project management experience with analytical and planning skills. Effective team player in a dynamic, cross-functional environment. Excellent written, organizational, and verbal communication skills. Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Access, Excel). Reside within the geographic area of responsibility. Valid driver’s license required. Compensation
The expected annual base salary range for this role is between $175,000-230,000. The role may be eligible for bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits, including flexible PTO, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance. Equal Opportunity
