Under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer, and in collaboration with the Associate Chief Medical Officer serving as staff podiatrist at TrueCare, the Podiatrist will provide high quality, comprehensive, compassionate, acute and chronic podiatric care, including preventive care and health promotion to a multicultural, multilingual patient population. Providing medical care for podiatry patients who require foot and ankle treatment.
Responsibilities and Duties
Conducts patient examinations to assess general physical condition. Explain potential treatment plan. Diagnoses and treats foot diseases and deformities, including but not limited to ulcers, skin or nail diseases, congenital or acquired deformities such as corns, calluses, in-grown nails, shortened tendons, bunions, cysts, ulcerations, infections, and abscesses. Orders and performs diagnostic procedures. Prescribes and/or dispense medications, corrective footwear, supportive stockings and braces. Orders X-rays and physical scans of lower extremities. Advises patients concerning continued treatment of disorders and proper foot care to prevent recurrence. Development individualized treatment plans based on diagnostic results. Uses advanced techniques, theories, and processes to complete podiatry treatment. Refers patients to other healthcare provides when symptoms observed in feet and legs indicate systemic disorders. Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations, board certification, and professional licenses. Review patient charts, medical history and make updates in accordance with TrueCare policies and procedures. Maintain and adhere to TrueCare established and departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Maintains cleanliness of treatment rooms, supplies and equipment. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Doctorate degree in Podiatric Medicine (DPM). Graduate from an accredited college of podiatric medicine. Minimum two (2) years’ experience as a practicing Podiatrist. Completion of a two (2) year PMBC approved residency program for permanent licensure. California State licensure to practice Podiatric Medicine. Knowledge of related medicines and topical treatments. Familiarity with foot abnormalities and genetic anomalies. Knowledge of related physical therapy techniques. Excellent interpersonal and communication skill.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual in English and Spanish. Knowledge of modern therapeutic treatments. Familiarity with the Federal and State rules, regulations and practices in a Community Health Center.
The pay range for this role is $175,000 to $350,000 on an annual basis.
