Overview
Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a highly motivated Senior Scientist or Principal Scientist with a strong background in Toxicokinetics (TK) and mechanistic pharmacokinetics (PK) investigation to join the NonClinical Pharmacokinetic/ Biodistribution group at our US headquarters in Ridgefield, CT. The role is primarily responsible for designing TK studies, providing modeling support for dose selection, and conducting routine TK analysis and reporting. Additional responsibilities include designing animal PK and biodistribution studies after candidate selection and contributing to the optimization of human dose predictions. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of the principles of drug development. Core responsibilities include serving as a TK expert, conducting TK analyses in regulated environments, and working closely with discovery research, nonclinical safety, and clinical pharmacology teams to fully understand drug PK/PD. The candidate may also be tasked with managing or mentoring scientific staff and proposing innovative techniques, managing multiple projects, and developing strategies to meet milestones in alignment with R&D and corporate objectives.
