Part-Time, 16 hours Per Week (Temporary position till January 2026)

What you bring to SBHG (qualifications) Must have a Master\'s Degree in Nursing with a specialty in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from an accredited university; completion of an approved Adult, Child, or Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Program; possession of a Certificate by the State of California as a Nurse Practitioner; possession of a State of California issued medication furnishing number and a certificate issued by the United States Drug Enforcement Administration for the furnishing for psychotropic medications. Doctorate degree preferred.
Must have two to three years of experience with adults and children greater than age 12 who present and are assessed with a DSM-V diagnosis. Experience with mentally ill participants preferred.
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse issued by the California Board of Nursing.
Current certificate to practice as a Nurse Practitioner issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing
Current DEA License
Valid California Driver\'s License
NOTE:
Must possess a valid California Driver\'s License and maintain a driving record that meets the company driver\'s eligibility policy.
How you will make a difference
(job overview): In collaboration with a designated physician, the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) is responsible for providing outpatient psychiatric care, including intakes, assessments, and furnishing and providing medication management, following established standards and practices. The PNP will review and analyze participant records to furnish and evaluate the usage of psychotropic and other drugs and the quality and appropriateness of the care of mental health participants.
Division/Program Overview MHRC is a 16 bed, inpatient program that provides intensive support and rehabilitative services.
The individuals served are 18-64 years old with mental health struggles that have necessitated placement in a state hospital or other intensive behavioral health facility.
Comprehensive behavioral health and psychiatric services are provided by a multidisciplinary team.
The team supports individuals in developing the skills to become self- sufficient and increase levels of independence and functioning .
