Overview

We are looking for a leader in Maternal Fetal Medicine. This person will: Lead the Maternal Fetal Medicine Service Line and provide guidance to the team. Work together with the heads of Women’s & Children’s Services as partners. Collaborate with OB/GYN doctors in Grand Rapids and the Lakeshore areas. Make sure that the Maternal Fetal Medicine team provides high-quality care for women with complicated pregnancies. Provide complete and caring medical services for those with high-risk pregnancies, including tests and doctor consultations. Work with obstetricians, doctors for newborns, and other medical specialists to coordinate care. Help develop and improve the Maternal Fetal Medicine program, providing both administration and clinical guidance. Aim to achieve goals related to quality of care, service, staff engagement, resource management, and financial health. Educate and mentor medical students and new doctors. Provide care for high-risk pregnancies and general gynecological health. Perform surgeries using the da Vinci robotic system. Evaluate issues related to infertility. Provide care for menopause and pelvic pain. Treat conditions related to pelvic reconstruction and urinary incontinence. Offer regular well-woman care, including annual exams and pap smears. Diagnose and treat abnormal pap smears and hormonal problems, such as those during perimenopause. Diagnose and treat endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain. Perform laparoscopic surgeries, including hysterectomies and endometrial ablations. Help with family planning and infertility evaluations. Diagnose and treat breast conditions and disorders. Use modern technology, like the da Vinci Surgical System. Provide care during pregnancy, including for those at high risk. Offer planning services before conception and care after childbirth. Qualifications

Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology – THIS IS REQUIRED. Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Maternal Fetal Medicine – THIS IS REQUIRED. Must have at least 5 years of experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine – THIS IS REQUIRED. Preferred: At least 2 years of experience in a leadership position or completed training for this role. Must have a Michigan medical license or be willing to get one – THIS IS REQUIRED. Must have a DEA certificate or be willing to obtain it – THIS IS REQUIRED. Must have BLS and ACLS certifications or be willing to get them – THIS IS REQUIRED. It is preferred to have a clean malpractice history. Certification Requirements
