The
Director, Strategic and Financial Communications
has a critical role managing and executing high-stakes enterprise communications programs that clearly articulate and amplify Prudential’s financial performance and business growth story. Reporting to the Vice President, Strategic and Financial Communications, the candidate will work closely with a broad range of business partners to deliver communications that connect Prudential’s strategy to key stakeholders, including investors, financial media, employees and other audiences. Key partners include the Office of the CFO, CEO and Investor Relations team, as well as communications strategists across Prudential’s functions and businesses. Responsibilities
Build and maintain relationships with key financial reporters, outlets, and influencers, including proactive pitching, backgrounding and reactive inquiry management. Proactively identify and pitch awards, social media and conference opportunities for initiatives and enterprise leaders. Manage communications programs for corporate development, M&A and other complex processes, coordinating across functions to clear, consistent messaging and smooth execution. Develop enterprise narrative materials, media strategies and communications programs to reinforce confidence in Prudential’s business performance and strategic priorities. Develop communication materials tailored for senior executives, including briefing books, benchmark analyses and messaging documents. Leverage the resources and centers of expertise within the Prudential Communications organization to improve message clarity, anticipate risk, and quantify communications impact. What you’ll need
7-10 years of professional experience in corporate, financial or strategic communications. Strong media relations expertise, with the ability to manage relationships with journalists. Demonstrated success executing complex communications programs (corporate development, M&A, and/or organizational changes). Exceptional project management and organizational skills. Executive presence, relationship-building skills and high EQ to anticipate challenges and build alignment across functions. Nice to have
Business Acumen: Understands and leverages organizational, financial and industry data to address customer needs and operations. Sector Experience: Knowledge of the financial services industry and/or public company financial reporting requirements. Salary range for this role: $152,500.00 to $206,200.00, vary by location, experience, and skills. Prudent salaries include a base with potential bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, as described below.
