The Opportunity As the Director, Business Development & AI Demand Innovation, you will be the chief architect and champion of Flywheel’s next-generation client engagement strategy. In this highly strategic leadership role, you will work with the Director of Demand Generation to set the vision for how Flywheel leverages AI, technology, and market insights, identifying, engaging, and developing high-value client relationships through new business and growth opportunities. Your mandate is to drive innovation—redefining how we create industry influence, enable sales, and deliver exceptional client outcomes. What You Will Do: AI-Driven Client Engagement Vision Work with the Director of Demand Generation and the existing team to transform Flywheel’s client engagement model by embedding AI and advanced analytics into every stage of the demand generation and sales activation journey. Define and execute a forward-looking strategy for using AI to personalize and scale client interactions—ensuring Flywheel is always a step ahead in anticipating and meeting client needs. Evangelize the use of data, automation, and technology to elevate our market presence and set new standards for engagement excellence. Guide Flywheel’s engagement narrative to ensure it is rooted in deep industry insight, future-focused thinking, and a relentless drive for client impact. Strategic Alignment Across Functions Serve as the connective tissue between marketing, business development, and client-facing teams—aligning on the highest-value opportunities and orchestrating seamless go-to-market execution. Lead strategic workshops and executive alignments that unify account targeting, engagement priorities, and innovation initiatives. Drive a culture of cross-functional collaboration, insight sharing, and agile iteration in the pursuit of superior client outcomes. Innovation in Demand Generation Oversee the design and rollout of AI-enabled, account-based programs that blend digital, event, and outbound channels for maximum impact. Identify, pilot, and scale new technologies and approaches that enhance client engagement efficiency, effectiveness, and measurement. Continuously monitor the evolving landscape of AI and demand gen innovation, ensuring Flywheel remains on the leading edge. Executive Leadership & Organizational Impact Advise senior leadership on market trends, emerging technologies, and strategic opportunities for differentiation. Foster an organization-wide mindset of experimentation, learning, and client-first innovation. Champion the metrics, processes, and infrastructure needed to attribute revenue outcomes directly to innovative engagement strategies. Who You Are: 10+ years in strategic marketing, client engagement, or business innovation roles, with expertise in AI-driven transformation and demand generation. Demonstrated success creating and leading high-impact, technology-enabled engagement strategies for clients. Deep understanding of account-based marketing, industry influence, and executive relationship management. Recognized leader in operationalizing AI, analytics, and automation to drive measurable pipeline and revenue impact. Exceptional communicator, collaborator, and change agent with executive presence. Experience in SaaS, enterprise tech, digital commerce, or data-centric B2B environments preferred. Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications a plus. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
