Overview
Fluence Energy is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Chief Security Officer and VP of Corporate Infrastructure to lead our cybersecurity program. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our systems, products, and data, while also overseeing our corporate infrastructure. In this high-impact executive position, you will be entrusted with overseeing the safety and resilience of our organization’s digital and physical infrastructure on a global scale. Your responsibilities will be multifaceted and mission-critical: you’ll architect comprehensive cyber security governance strategies for our corporate operations, innovative products, and ecosystem of third-party partners. You will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of security policies, standards, and procedures to safeguard Fluence Energy’s intellectual property, digital assets and sensitive information. Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies for corporate, product, and third-party security programs. Partner with product engineering and OT teams to ensure effective cyber posture for Fluence and its customers. Lead the design and execution of security policies, standards, and procedures to protect the organization’s assets and information. Oversee the security of Internet of Things (IoT) devices and systems, ensuring robust protection against potential threats. Ensure compliance with public company regulations and standards, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and other relevant frameworks. Implement and manage the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) to enhance the organization’s security posture. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into product development and corporate infrastructure. Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and risk analyses to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities. Lead incident response efforts and manage security breaches, ensuring timely resolution and communication. Stay current with emerging security trends, threats, and technologies to proactively address potential risks. Provide leadership and guidance to the security team, fostering a culture of security awareness and best practices. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Proven experience in a senior security leadership role, preferably within the energy or technology sectors. Preferably experience as a CISO in IOT or SaaS public company. In-depth knowledge of Internet of Things (IoT) security, public company compliance, and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF). Strong understanding of security technologies, protocols, and best practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable. Compensation and How to Apply
