RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Chief MR Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a Chief MR Technologist, you will provide leadership and management to technologists in multiple modalities and/or across multiple centers, assuring professional standards and excellent customer service. Operates scanner to produce images of the patient\'s body for diagnostic purposes. Remains self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease, and new procedures as they evolve. Maintains positive work relationships with radiologists.
This position is full-time, working day shifts. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities (75-80%) Patient Imaging
Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure
Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately
Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate
Maintains positive attitude and working relationships with radiologist, referring customers and other associates and peers
Follows physicians\' orders precisely and conforms to safety regulations to protect yourself, your patients, and coworkers
Accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
Maintains an orderly and clean work area promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers
Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements
Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
Ensures compliance with all HIPAA guidelines
(15-20%) Team Management
Coordinates the training and onboarding of new associates
Assists in the hiring process for new associates
Leads regular team meetings and associate one-on-ones, ensuring cross-modality or cross-center communication
Monitors and approves timecards
Initiates and participates in performance reviews, development, and performance management of associates
Manages associate schedules to provide for planned time off, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and adequate coverage
Evaluates workflow and implements process improvements for the team
Ensures team has knowledge of company and department policies and corresponding procedures are in place
Supports associates ensuring highest level of patient satisfaction
Leads special projects and/or committees, as assigned
Develops methods for measuring and monitoring team and department performance
(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned
Qualifications Required:
ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
5+ years imaging experience, with demonstrated ability to serve as a resource to others and identify and implement process improvement opportunities
Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography; Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform advanced MRI procedures independently with highest quality
Certification in imaging specialty
Preferred:
Bilingual
Works in multiple modalities and/or has multi-modality certifications
Prior supervisory or leadership experience
