The Kindle E-reader team is seeking a driven, highly organized and proactive Executive Assistant. Reporting directly to the Director of Kindle, the Executive Assistant (EA) will support two E-reader directors, providing high-level administrative support to help leadership efficiently accomplish company initiatives and goals. The EA serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external administrative matters pertaining to the E-reader business and acts as a liaison to the leadership team; plans, coordinates, and facilitates executive meetings; and oversees special projects as directed. The EA must be creative, organized, detail-oriented, exercise good judgment, and have strong written, verbal and administrative skills. The role requires the ability to work in a dynamic, complex environment, balance multiple priorities, and work independently from conception to completion. The incumbent must handle confidential matters with discretion and demonstrate a strong bias for action to ensure timely and professional completion of tasks. A day in the life and the expectations for this role include attention to detail, meeting tight deadlines, strong organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple critical requests, often under pressure. Integrity, discretion with confidential information, and professionalism when dealing with senior leaders and engineers are essential, along with a good sense of humor. The successful candidate will complete complex tasks quickly with minimal guidance and react with appropriate urgency to situations requiring quick turnaround. Key responsibilities
Managing a very active and fluid calendar of appointments; scheduling, coordinating and planning internal meetings, agendas and appointments; planning detailed domestic and international travel, writing itineraries, arranging transportation, and preparing travel-related documents; completing expense reports Planning the executive’s daily, weekly and monthly schedule of events Planning, managing and executing ongoing key team activities (staff meetings, all-hands meetings, training, off-sites, town halls, skip-level meetings, morale events) Composing and preparing business correspondence; organizing communications to filter low-priority items and focus on important information Serving as the gatekeeper to the executive office, screening and prioritizing meeting requests while providing courteous and professional service Communicating on behalf of the senior executive with the leadership team and other stakeholders across the organization Training other administrative staff on company policies and best practices BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market.
