The Department of Medicine of the
University of Maryland School of Medicine and the Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center
(UMGCC) located in Baltimore, MD are seeking additional faculty to join our expanding programs. Our programs emphasize the multimodality care of oncology patients and clinical and translational research. The essential functions of these positions include inpatient/outpatient consultations and longitudinal patient care, teaching and mentoring of Hematology/Oncology fellows, residents and medical students. Active participation in clinical research is expected. Interaction with basic and translational scientists is strongly encouraged. All positions require candidates to possess an M.D. or D.O. degree and be board certified or board-eligible by the ABIM in Internal Medicine and Hematology and/or Medical Oncology, as well as to be eligible for a medical license in Maryland. Candidates with a strong interest in and/or published literature relating to conducting clinical/translational research are preferred. The expected salary range for Assistant Professors is $190,260 (min) and $401,205 (max). The referenced salary range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. This salary range does not include all components of the departmental faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental variable compensation programs. Therefore, the actual compensation paid to the selected candidate may vary from the salary range stated herein. For more information, please contact the hiring department. The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on the University of Maryland School of Medicine’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.
