How you make a difference
As a Medical Director, you will oversee medical services, ensuring compliance with security and institutional regulations, and provide documentation to monitor services. You will also coordinate coverage and notify relevant personnel of schedule changes. Key Responsibilities
Provide clinical oversight for the facility’s medical program, following policies for admissions, transfers, and referrals. Supervise care provided by staff and consult with professionals across the system. Partner with the Health Services Administrator to identify issues and improve patient outcomes, including establishing Chronic Care Clinics. Ensure proper documentation and adherence to formulary protocols, provide emergency care, and respond to urgent situations. Act as a liaison with community healthcare providers, consult with specialists, and review treatment protocols and policies. Qualifications & Requirements
Education Medical school graduate. Experience Experience in Family Practice, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Public Health preferred. Licenses/Certifications Current licensure in the State of employment. Current DEA number. CPR certification. Maintains privileges and CME requirements for continued practice.
