Overview

Territory Manager, Vascular - Washington DC. The Vascular Territory Manager is responsible for attaining sales goals within the designated territory and budget, increasing sales of current accounts, establishing new accounts, and educating customers on BD products with in-services for surgeons, OR staff, and other professionals. Develops relationships with key customers and acts as a liaison between sales and marketing. Responsibilities

Sells the entire product line to current and new accounts. Informs customers of pricing, backorders, and company policies. Drives comprehensive in-service trainings on products for all concerned individuals. Plans sales calls and manages time effectively. Develops thorough knowledge of all products and clinical data. Informs Regional Manager of significant market changes and competitive activity. Achieves prompt, mutually satisfactory solutions to customer complaints. Analyzes customer needs and creates solutions. Maintains company automobile and company property. Establishes strong customer relationships by providing education and clinical assistance to meet the needs of patients and customers. Coordinates scheduling of surgeries using BDPI products. Assists with inventory management at hospitals within the territory. Completes and processes BDPI reports including sales summary, expense, monthly product tracking, account targeting, and complaint reports in accordance with established policies and procedures. Education

Bachelor's Degree Required Qualifications

2 years of outside sales experience required; medical device sales experience preferred. Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued drivers license and meet BD's auto safety standards. Surgical procedure knowledge adequate to illustrate product benefits. Basic anatomy, medical and surgical terminology. Detailed understanding of needs/analysis selling. Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills. Understands contract administration. Must be able to travel often.
