Job Description:

As an SMT Test Engineering Program Manager (EPM), you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the SMT test coverage library for a broad portfolio of current and future hardware products. This role is ideal for individuals with strong technical project management experience, particularly in electrical design and manufacturing test strategy, who enjoy collaborating with engineers across disciplines.

This team plays a critical role in ensuring world-class quality standards are met throughout the product lifecycle, with a focus on validating product integrity through advanced testing infrastructure and tools. This includes designing custom test fixtures, developing embedded software (firmware/FPGA IP), and deploying cutting-edge instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with SMT station DRIs to compile and maintain the test coverage library across multiple hardware programs.

Conduct end-to-end test coverage analysis, identify testing gaps, and propose optimization strategies.

Leverage internal AIML tools or create new tools to enhance test software automation and usability.

Act as the technical point of contact for system testing processes—clearly documenting, presenting, and communicating information across cross-functional teams.

Key Qualifications:

B.S. in Electrical Engineering (or related field) with 5+ years of technical project management experience.

Strong ability to interpret electrical schematics and layouts and translate them into actionable test plans.

Familiarity with USB 3.2, USB-PD, DisplayPort, PCIe, I2C, and SPI protocols and designs.

Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to understand and convey complex engineering concepts.

Hands-on experience with Python (or similar scripting languages) for tool development.

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time (typically 8–10 days per trip).

Nice to have:

Experience with bed-of-nails test fixtures and test instrument design.
