The Atlanta facility is currently seeking an experienced Automation Engineering Manager to lead digital transformation initiatives and oversee the optimization and implementation of advanced automation systems. Lead and manage a team of automation engineers and technicians. Develop and execute automation strategies aligned with plant and corporate goals. Oversee the design, programming, and commissioning of PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and control systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, quality, and IT. Manage capital projects related to automation and control systems. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering - preferred 8+ years of experience within a heavily-regulated manufacturing environment (consumer goods, chemicals, pharma etc.) 3+ years of leadership experience in managing engineering teams. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills (experience with hiring - preferred) Strong knowledge of programming and troubleshooting PLCs (Allen-Bradley), SCADA systems, and HMI design Experience with SMART manufacturing - preferred Performance-based bonus up to 20% Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision 401K with 6% company match Tuition reimbursement for select programs Notes
