About The Role As a Senior Technical Writer for Rippling\'s Platform and Data offerings on our Customer Education team, you\'ll create, maintain, and enhance help documentation and training material for our platform and data products, including many that are in beta. You\'ll communicate complex concepts clearly and succinctly, turning them into rich, effective deliverables. You\'ll create documentation for a wide range of external audiences with varying technical aptitude, including HR personas and technical software engineers. What You Will Do Create user documentation, migration guides, reference material, and tutorials for Rippling platform and data cloud offerings aimed at developers. Write and update documentation for APIs and custom connectors. Collaborate with Product and Customer Experience teams to identify and close knowledge gaps, enhancing self-service capabilities. Participate in agile release cycles alongside Product and Engineering teams. Incorporate structured content principles for single-sourcing information across locations and audiences. Develop training materials, including videos, system diagrams, infographics, and hands-on exercises. Define the information architecture for new documentation sets and revise it as the product evolves. Promote the Help Center and encourage other teams to contribute as content creators or subject matter experts. What You Will Need Minimum 5 years of experience creating technical product documentation for a complex, data-centric platform or product suite. Experience writing structured content about SaaS platforms and tools related to data engineering, data system architectures, and data ingestion methods. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of external audiences, including software engineers, system administrators, and HR professionals. Direct experience writing documentation for APIs, including code samples and troubleshooting error codes. Basic experience with SQL and relational database management systems (RDBMS). Demonstrated experience managing complex projects with various stakeholders. Experience supporting product release cycles in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. Excellent writing and grammar skills with clear, succinct, and logical content. Curiosity and a bias to constantly question, dig deeper, and learn. A passion for empowering users to self-serve and succeed by understanding their documentation and training challenges. About The Team The Customer Education team builds best-in-class help documentation and on-demand training materials to help customers learn how to use the Rippling platform and products for success. Materials include tutorials, troubleshooting FAQs, training videos, and hands-on simulations.
