Responsibilities
Assess data management technologies and practices, identifying gaps between current state and a well-targeted future state. Interpret and deliver strategic plans to improve data integration, data quality, and data delivery in support of business initiatives and roadmaps. Formulate and articulate architectural trade-offs across solution options and recommend an optimal solution that meets technical requirements. Lead teams of data engineers and other technical members through design, implementation, and best practices. Provide insights to executive stakeholders and development teams to maximize the value of client data across the organization. Ensure solutions provide business value and align with client strategic goals. Communicate with non-technical executives to convey the value of modern enterprise data solutions. Drive innovative technology solutions through thought leadership on emerging trends. Share project solutions and outcomes to improve delivery on future projects. Provide leadership within the Data & Analytics practice area to grow capabilities and talent. Partner with CapTech’s business development team to demonstrate capabilities, propose solutions, and estimate proposed work plans. Qualifications
7+ years of experience implementing a variety of on-premises and cloud data management, integration, visualization, and analytical technologies. Advanced proficiency in modern data architectures; cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP); real-time data distribution (Kafka, Kinesis, DataFlow, Airflow); NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB, HBase, CosmosDB); and modern data warehouses (Snowflake, DataBricks). Advanced proficiency in end-to-end data architecture solutions including ingestion, storage, and relational modeling; proficiency with SQL and Python. Ability to relate architectural decisions to business needs and client culture; assess traditional and modern components based on business needs. Experience in recommending data governance best practices including MDM, security, privacy, and policies. Experience leading enterprise engineering teams through implementations; serve as POC on design decisions and best practices. Preferred Qualifications
Experience in data governance and mentorship within Data & Analytics practice areas. Thought leadership and internal engagement with leadership and innovation across the enterprise. Awareness and ongoing education around emerging technologies in the data landscape. Additional Information
