We categorize a “recent graduate” as someone who has graduated within 2 years of the program start date, July 2026. The 2K Games Engineering Program seeks individuals with a passion for gaming, strong programming skills, and a readiness to tackle challenges. The recruitment process is task-driven to showcase skills regardless of background. Recruitment Process

The recruitment process is split into four stages: Application with Resume Review Information Call to Explain the Process & Role (Mandatory) Online Test Take Home Test Interview Stage The next cohort joins in July 2026. Recruitment is rolling starting in September. Program Details

The Engineering Graduate Program runs for 21 months, including 3 months of core training and project work, followed by 18 months of studio rotations with 2K partner studios (including Hangar 13, HB Studios, Visual Concepts, Firaxis, Gearbox, and more). After completion, you may apply for a full-time role within our studios. The Graduate Program starts in July 2026 and is based out of the Vancouver, Canada office with potential international travel. Placement details follow visa requirements and business needs. Up to 3 studio rotations are included in the program. Core Training & Studio Rotations

Core Training Rotation covers essential skills with game-engine exposure (e.g., Unreal Engine), guided code reviews, and soft-skill development. Studio Rotations involve hands-on work across 2K studios and major game projects, exposing you to diverse engineering environments and cultures. Placement is primarily based in Novato, Dublin, or Vancouver, with possible opportunities to visit other studios. Desired Skills & Experience

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related field Excellent programming and numerical skills Proficiency in C++, C#, Python Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns Familiarity with source control (Perforce preferred) Strong debugging and analytical abilities Attention to detail Proactive, quick learner, and adaptable to new challenges Passion and curiosity Ready To Impress Us?

Compensation: The pay range in Vancouver at start is expected to be $85,000 per year, with base pay based on location and other factors.
