Overview

Highmark Inc. JOB SUMMARY This position performs financial and business related research and analysis, including preparation of forecasts and analysis of financial reports, records and trends. It develops and maintains spreadsheets and databases to facilitate analysis and reporting and conducts and documents financial analysis projects. Responsibilities

Communicate effectively and display strong communication skills. Coordinate with other departments, locations, and divisions. Communicate with other departments and/or outside agencies to resolve problems. Update management at Highmark, subsidiaries, affiliates, and other third parties on project status and deadlines. Advise management of expected outcomes and recommend improvements. Present analyses to all levels of management to summarize financial results and trends. Perform and document financial and business analyses. Analyze, evaluate, and interpret financial and statistical data. Develop and document business policies and conduct special financial studies in collaboration with other departments. Prepare forecasts and analyze trends. Analyze financial reports and records and provide reasoning for variances related to reserves, assets, and expenditures. Independently pursue fundamental problem solving and document recommendations to management. Facilitate analysis and reporting using computer systems to input, retrieve, or display accounting information. Develop and maintain spreadsheets and databases. Utilize PC and/or mainframe systems to compile and prepare reports, graphs, and charts. Serve as a project lead for special department projects and document findings and results. Coordinate activities to ensure projects progress and are completed within established timeframes, communicating project status to management and other stakeholders. Make recommendations based on findings when necessary. Other duties as assigned or requested. Qualifications

Education Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of a degree Experience 5 - 10 years of relevant, progressive experience in Accounting and/or Finance Experience with MS Excel and/or MS Access Licenses or Certifications None Skills Strong written and oral communication skills Strong relationship-building skills Client-focused with strong business acumen Self-starter with the ability to work under pressure independently and as part of a team Ability to think strategically and act proactively to build trust with business units Strong problem-solving capabilities Other Information

Pay Range Minimum: $57,700.00 Pay Range Maximum: $107,800.00 Base pay is determined by qualifications, experience, and other factors.
