6-month initial contract on W2 Pay Rate:
$20- $26 per hour on W2 Role Description
The Microbiology Technician – Cleaning R&D position supports the Cleaning Business strategy to lead with brands in the cleaning, sanitization, and disinfection categories. The role partners with a Senior Microbiologist to develop and validate internal capabilities for testing Professional products against tuberculosis. Responsibilities include prep, execution, and data analysis of laboratory testing under guidance from Scientists and supervision from the Group Manager. The Technician also implements tools, resources, and practices to increase microbiological acumen on tuberculosis testing while working safely with the team. The Microbiology Technician – Cleaning R&D applies technical microbiological knowledge (primary focus on surface sanitization and disinfection) to new and existing test methods, and supports projects across the business by collaborating with Scientists and other Technicians. Day-to-day activities include media preparation, routine testing execution, new test method development and validation, data analysis, and related lab maintenance. Responsibilities
Execute a variety of simple to complex microbiological laboratory experiments in collaboration with other technicians and scientists to support the Clorox business. Collaborate with scientists to collect, evaluate, and present data to inform project decisions. Manage the microbiology laboratory for this project, including upkeep, maintenance, and ordering equipment and supplies. Contribute to operating principles and best practices of the new capability by working safely and with integrity. Contribute to knowledge management with standardization and consistency. Effectively network internally and externally. Exhibit excellent communication skills with the ability to present critical information. Collaborate cross-functionally with individuals from diverse disciplines to build strong working relationships. Qualifications
Background in biology, biotechnology, or microbiology Experience with aseptic techniques and dilution procedures preferred Job Details
