We are currently seeking a Senior Associate to join Withum’s Forensic and Valuation Services Group. The Senior Associate will work on a variety of assignments within the Forensic and Valuation Services Group in the Corporate Value Consulting Team. The Valuation Senior Associate can be based out of any US office location. Withum’s brand is a reflection of our people, our culture and our strength. How You’ll Spend Your Time Overseeing valuation analyses for tax, financial reporting, and advisory purposes (enterprise values, stock options, warrants, convertible debt, equity allocations across complex capital structures, and other complex securities/derivatives) primarily in Excel Implementing and improving processes in performing valuations and writing and preparing client deliverables (reports, letters, and other documents) Assisting in review of third-party appraisals for audit support purposes Assisting in the development and maintenance of models using Excel and VBA for Monte Carlo, lattices, or other complex methods as requested Reviewing and gaining a sufficient understanding of the necessary tax and financial reporting guidance governing the analysis Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting, or similar quantitative discipline 2+ years of performing valuations for financial reporting purposes (ASC 805, ASC 305, ASC 820, ASC 718) is required In-depth understanding of valuation methods such as discounted cash flow, market multiple, market transaction, and option pricing Experience in valuation of complex financial instruments is strongly preferred Valuation related certification including ASA, CVA, ABV, CEIV, or CFA Advanced knowledge of Excel and Capital IQ preferred Ability to program in VBA and/or other statistical package a plus Capacity to work independently on projects Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills Compensation and Benefits
The compensation for this position will vary by location. Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance. Final offer amounts are based on multiple factors such as the specific role, hiring location, as well as the individual’s skills, experience, and qualifications. Salary ranges illustrate typical ranges by location and are provided as examples: California/Washington State: $70,000 - $100,000; Washington, D.C.: $70,000 - $100,000; NYC: $70,000 - $100,000; Illinois: $70,000 - $100,000; Maryland: $70,000 - $100,000; Massachusetts: $70,000 - $100,000; New Jersey: $70,000 - $100,000; Rhode Island: $70,000 - $100,000; Washington State: $70,000 - $100,000.
