Senior Associate - Accounting and Finance
Evolution Risk Partners, LLC (the “Company” or “ERP”) is seeking a Senior Associate of Accounting and Finance to assist in executing its growth strategy. Reporting to the Controller and CFO, the Senior Associate will manage the day-to-day treasury and accounting functions, critically analyze financial data using Excel and Power BI and help build complex financial models to help scale the business. The position will support the Controller in ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and providing data-driven insights to ERP’s leadership team to support decision-making.
Responsibilities
Manage the preparation of monthly financial statements, cash management procedures and other reporting requirements
Strong command of GAAP reporting that delivers timely and accurate recording of all business transactions
Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, expenses, receivables, and payables, and cash management functions
Knowledge of working within and/or implementing an accounting software system
Interface with outside auditors and tax CPAs and support the annual audit activity
Support the Controller and CFO in budgeting exercises
Provide ad hoc analytical support to drive actionable decision making and support strategic and financial planning activities
Qualifications
Education: A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
Certificate/License: CPA preferred
Experience:
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience with a public accounting firm or as an internal accountant within a company
Excellent Microsoft Excel Skills required. Power BI skills preferred but not required
Experience in financial modeling and other complex analyses
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Detail-oriented and highly organized self-starter
Thrives in fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
Ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving
Experience using a general ledger, reporting, accounts payable and receivable, payroll and other accounting related activities and coordinating audit activities preferred but not required
Compensation
Compensation will include a base salary, and annual bonus opportunity
