Lead tax planning projects for a diverse client base in the real estate sector, delivering up-to-date tax advice and strategic outcomes on complex issues. Guide and supervise a team of professionals, ensuring they have the skills, knowledge and opportunities to reach their full potential. Apply deep knowledge of real estate tax to areas including partnership taxation, REITs, tax compliance, due diligence, acquisitions/dispositions planning and structuring. Identify opportunities and risks, communicate findings to clients, and develop clear, intelligent plans to improve clients’ tax activities. Build and maintain client relationships, tailoring advice to clients in real estate, hospitality and construction industries. Demonstrate strong business development capabilities and the ability to manage budgets, people and projects. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline. Seven to ten years of real estate tax experience in a professional services environment. Extensive knowledge of real estate tax technical and transaction skills, including partnership taxation, REIT taxation and qualification, partnership allocations, tax compliance, due diligence, and structuring. Experience managing budgets, people and projects; ability to prioritize across multiple complex projects. Strong writing, research skills in a tax context, and ability to influence and question existing processes. Willingness to travel as needed and comfort with a balanced hybrid work environment. CPA qualification or active membership in a state bar is preferred. What We Offer
