Materials Analyst
located in
Austin, TX . Reporting to the
Sr Director, Materials , the
Materials Analyst
role involves providing data evaluation in support of the various areas within the Materials function. Responsibilities
Audits data for accuracy and prepares summary reports, spreadsheets, graphics, and charts based on the inspection of data. May assist in the preparation of recommendations to management based on the inspection of data. Forecasts inventory and Inventory Turn Over (ITO); provides targeting, tracking and asset velocity. Supports work order management. Supports month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close. Implements contractual excess and obsolescence terms with customer/supplier-managed inventory programs. Develops process improvements concerning inventory-related process steps and supports implementation. Collects, compiles, evaluates, and presents various types of data. Prepares summary reports, spreadsheets, and charts from multiple sources, including customer bills of material reports, staff metrics, metrics, and PPV form tracking. May create and/or maintain databases in support of data collection. Audits data; resolves data integrity issues, including quotations when applicable. Proactively identifies and escalates potential issues related to metrics. Suggests, where applicable, process/communication improvements related to metric tracking activities. Tracks materials financial performance and initiates corrective actions when required. Supports inventory control, supply chain management, material planning and scheduling, and finance. Develops commodity spend profiles/breaks-downs: manages time profiling, inventory positioning, and site execution to price. Establishes common pricing evaluation tools. Provides detailed bill of materials evaluation by site. Performs general reporting and inspection activities for supplier scorecards. Validates site pricing through a common cost review and pricing process. Assists in supply chain transfer and risk management for NPI. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain and Material 7 years of experience in materials supply chain including finance Excellent leadership skills in directing meetings with teams and individual contributors Excellent financial experience Advanced Excel experience; PowerPoint proficiency Advanced presentation and meeting leadership What you’ll receive
